Peruvian Andes Rock Glacier Inventory (PRoGI) geopackage

DOI

The Peruvian Andes constitute the central-western part of the tropical Andes, cover an area of 30 124 km² and are characterized by an extensive periglacial environment, mainly in the southern zone. Here we present the first comprehensive inventory of rock glaciers in this region, containing 2338 rock glaciers covering an area of 94.09 km². This inventory provides nationwide coverage, standardized methods aligned with the guidelines (Baseline and practical concepts Version 1.0) of the International Permafrost Association (IPA) Working Group and updated high-resolution image data.
