Vibrio campbellii strain:RT-1 Genome sequencing

White gut disease infected shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei was collected from aquaculture ponds near Marakkanam (12.1899° N, 79.9249° E), East coast of Chennai, India. Vibrio campbellii RT-1 was isolated from infected shrimp sample, cultured in TCBS agar plates. Vibrios are important opportunistic pathogen in human and marine animals. Here we describe the Whole genome sequence of vibrio campbellii RT-1 using Illumina Hiseq 2500. The output of 6222813 reads comprising 626,953,090 bases gave 1.6 GB information about the strain. The GC and AT contents were 45% and 54.99% respectively. The genome data help us to understand the role of Vibrios in White gut disease infection.
