GP Patient Survey, 2022

The GP Patient Survey is a large-scale postal survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. This year the survey received responses from around 720,000 adults in England. It looks at patient experiences of their GP practice and other local NHS services. The results from the latest publication of the survey were released on 14 July 2022. The most recent reports and survey materials can be found on the GP Patient Survey website. Data is available at Primary Care Network (PCN) and Integrated Care System (ICS) level for the first time in 2022 (CCG data is available prior to this). The analysis tool also enables users to look at the survey in more detail (at national, PCN and practice levels), view the results by specific sub-groups, run bespoke crosstabulations and analyse trends.The results of the latest GP Patient Survey are now available via the GP Patient Survey website. The GP Patient Survey is a large postal survey sent to around c.2.5 million adults each year. Until July 2016, data was collected in waves; there were between two and four waves a year, depending on the fieldwork period. From this point, the data has been collected annually, between January and April, with publication in summer.
