Mikrocensus 1970, 2. quarter: Use of Property, Farming on Sideline Basis

DOI

This special survey is on the topic of the use of property and the assistance of people, whose chief occupation is not at a agricultural or silvicultural enterprise, in agricultural and silvicultural enterprises. The survey is conducted together with the agricultural and silvicultural establishment census (reference date: 1st June 1970), which covers all agricultural and silvicultural enterprises larger than ½ hectare. This prohibits the census the use of gardens and allotment gardens unconnected with an agricultural and silvicultural enterprises. However, since these gardens are of great politico-economic importance, information on them is gathered via the Mikrozensus with the method of sampling. The second part of the questions serves the collection of the characteristics of a group of persons that poses numerous economic and social questions: “part-time farmers”. Especially the location of the (non-agricultural) workplace and the transit time needed to get there are of interest.
