Individual differences in interoception and autistic traits share altered facial emotion perception, but not recognition per se

DOI

This dataset includes behavioral data (emotion labels, confidence ratings, and intensity ratings, as well as heartbeat discrimination judgments), physiological data (facial muscle activity measured over the Corrugator Supercilii and Zygomaticus Major region, as well as electrocardiogram) and questionnaire data related to various individual characteristics (most relevant: autistic traits and trait interoceptive accuracy) to investigate modulations in the links between facial mimicry and facial emotion perception by autistic trait levels and trait interoceptive accuracy in two experiments.

The used stimuli of the emotion recognition task in the lab and the questionnaires are not shared in this publication package due to copyright. The stimuli are an adaptation of an existing data base and, while we were granted permission to adjust and use them for our research, we are not allowed to distribute them.
