Transcriptomics analysis of fats of toothed whales

Fats of toothed whales have high amounts of TAG and wax esters, therefore famous as a bio-fuel. The metabolism of these fats still unknown and de novo biosynthesis is possible. Therefore, the identification of genes expressed in these fats is highly important. RNA-seq analysis was conducted by Illumina technology and the mRNAs were identified by annotating tot the reference dolphin genome. Around 15000 genes were identified and the sequence results are submitting with this BioProject.
