The purpose of this survey is to determine the reliability and validity of a short scale for measuring social support in the elderly: the SSL12-I, a shortened version of the Social Support List - Interaction version. The instrument consists of three subscales: 1. everyday social support 2. social support in problem situations 3. esteem support. Questions about limitations caused by health in daily life / quality and frequency of social contacts / loneliness / available social support / present feelings of well-being, happiness in life.
