Field measurement data were collected during the summer of 2022. The first dataset includes 10 plots chosen as representative of local stand diversity.
Measurements such as Diameter at Breast Height (DBH), stem, length, and wood volume for a subset of trees and total plot wood volume were collected to
establish reliable allometric equations for A. mearnsii in Réunion Island (Dalle, 2022).
The second dataset encompasses 100 plots, covering 200-hectare area in "Hauts sous le Vent." A uniform grid of potential plot locations, with a sampling rate of 2 plots per hectare, was defined. Then, 100 locations were randomly selected. Plots are circular, mostly with a 10-meter radius, except for plots 1 and 3 with a 5-meter radius. This dataset encompasses diverse forest attributes, including species, DBH, tree length, health conditions, and environmental factors. The plots exhibit notable variety in species composition, stand types, and densities, ranging from 1 to 229 individuals per plot. Acacia mearnsii stands range in age from one-year young to 20 years, with an average tree diameter of 7.75 cm, ranging from 2.5 cm to 70.5 cm.
