The mixture of lead titanate (PbTiO3) and lead zirconate (PbZrO3), known as PbZr1-xTixO3 (PZT), is commonly used in a wide range of applications (sensors, actuators, etc) because of its high piezoelectric and coupling coefficient. The morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) has been widely studied by lots of researchers including us. Recent study shows tricritical behaviour around MPB region and in high-Zr region is also related to the high electromechanical responses. In order to investigate the the high-temperature and room-temperature structures and phase changes around the tricritical point of PbZr1-xTixO3 at x=0.94, we request seven days of HRPD time to collect full patterns on PbZrO3 and PbZr1-xTixO3 with x=0.05, 0.06, 0.07, 0.08, 0.09, 0.10 at various temperatures. We request a sample changer and a furnace for our experiments.
