Data generated for "Extreme Birkeland currents are more likely during geomagnetic storms on the dayside of the Earth" by Coxon et al., submitted to J. Geophys. Res.

The data is presented in 5 columns: - The date and time of the first data point in the given phase (YYYY/MM/DD-HH:MM:SS) The phase number (1 for growth/energy input, 2 for expansion, 3 for recovery) A flag indicating that the rate of change of SMU is similar to that of SML in the expansion phase (0 for no flag, 1 for flag) MLT of the active SML station at the shown time MLAT of the active SML station at the shown time
