The research was conducted to design a similar experiment to the experiment by Garrett, Lazzaro, Ariely & Sharot (2016). In this experiment the escalation of dishonesty is measured by letting a participant advise another person on how many pennies are in a jar. In some cases overestimating or underestimating the amount in a jar can lead to monetary benefits for the participant.For this experiment, see the article "The brain adapts to dishonesty": https://https://www.nature.com/articles/nn.4426. DOI: 10.3389/fnins.2020.00502The pictures have been published for re-use and have not been yet used for a scientific paper. This due to the team pursuing different research topics.
