On-farm validation of a feeding strategy improving nutritional and technological quality of meat from crossbred Duroc crossbred pigs and contributing to relocation of feed resources

Data set and list of variables of an experiment aiming at validating in commercial conditions, the impacts of two pig feeding strategies on multiple attributes of pork quality: commercial value (growth performance and carcass lean meat content), nutritional value, technological and sensory pork traits. The two feeding strategies corresponded to either a control diet based on oilseed meal (including imported soybean) as protein resources, or a R diet including extruded faba bean (domestic origin) as a protein source and extruded linseed as source of n-3 FA. Both diets were distributed according to a simplified multiphase (three steps) feeding to female and castrated male crossbred Duroc pigs.
