Raw Sequence Reads from Oil Production Platforms near the Atlantic shelf of Africa in the Gulf of Guinea

DNA was extracted from Oil Production Platforms near the Atlantic shelf of Africa in the Gulf of Guinea to better understand their resident microbiota. Specifically, tracking microbial sulfate-reducing activity and community composition on board off shore oil production platforms can be used to target certain sites for increased attention and direct operational practices to help control biocorrosion.
