This data set contains daily files of specific humidity profiles derived from combined measurements of the low- and high-frequency microwave radiometers HATPRO (Humidity And Temperature PROfiler, Rose et al., 2005) and MiRAC-P (Microwave Radar/Radiometer for Arctic Clouds - Passive, Mech et al., 2019) on Polarstern cruise PS144 (Rabe & Geibert, 2025). The data set covers the date range from 12 August to 7 October 2024 and is limited to 0-10000 m height above the instrument. The specific humidity profile retrieval is based on a Neural Network whose configuration and training is described in Walbröl et al. (2024). The effective vertical resolution of the specific humidity profile is 600 m at the surface and increases to 7500 m at 10000 m height (Walbröl et al., 2024).
Each netCDF file contains specific humidity profiles derived from HATPRO and MiRAC-P operated onboard Polarstern during cruise PS144. Each file further contains meta data about the position (latitude, longitude, height above mean sea level), and the quality of the derived specific humidity profiles.
