Inquiring protein thermo-stabilityof a multi-domains protein: is stability a flexibility/rigidity trade-off?

DOI

The goal of this project is to perform Neutron Scattering (NS) experiments on a multi-domain protein and to inquire how the protein soft modes respond to the increase of the temperature. This experiment will be complemented by theoretical modeling and will allow to pose the basis for a systematic comparison between homologous proteins of different thermal stability. On the long term, we wish to unveil how the local/global rigidity and flexibility of a protein contribute to its thermal stability.
