Hyperfine Interaction Studies in Synthetic Single Stranded DNA Molecule

DOI

Electron transport plays an important role especially to repair the damaged in DNA. µSR provides a means to microscopically study such phenomena. A systematic study on the electron transport in different forms of DNA is essential to understand the electronic properties of DNA. Later than, we can discuss the effect of damaged in DNA to the mechanism of electron transport. We intend to apply ALC measurements at HiFi on 12mer synthetic single-stranded DNA. We expect to obtain the value of the hyperfine interaction of the muon in each base of DNA. Then we can make a conclusion concerning the electronic conductivity properties of DNA bases.
