Raw data from a series of experiments aimed to evaluate the feasibility of producing lipopeptides in solid-state fermentation using thermofiles.
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Grup de Recerca en Compostatge (GICOM).
This study conducted solid-state fermentation (SSF) using Bacillus subtilis in SSF reactors, with optimized conditions lipopeptides (LPc) production. LPc yield was quantified through water extractions and gravimetric meassure.
- Description of methods used for collection-generation of data:
Lab scale experiments were carried out using 24 0.5-L reactors, 12 erlenmayers 0f 500ml, and a isolated reactor of 50L.
-
Methods for processing the data:
-
LPc-crude was analytically determined after water extraction.
-
Lipopeptides congeners identified by UHPLC-ESI-MS
-
Instrument- or software- specific information needed to interpret the data:
-
Excel or similar software.
-
Instruments, calibration and standards information:
-
Analytical balance Sartorius Entris II
- Orbital shaker (Infors HT, UK)
-
HPLC UltiMateTM 3000
-
Environmental or experimental conditions:
-
Bacillus subtilis CBI-7S1 was cryopreserved at -80°C.
- Microorganism growing conditions were set up at 50 ºC, 180 rpm at 48 h.
-
0.5-L bioreactors operational parameters were established at: temperature 30, 40 , 50, 60 ºC, humidefied airflow rate 30 mL/min.
-
Quality-assurance procedures performed on the data:
All temperature experiments were carried out using 3 reactors. For each DOE condition 1 reactor was used.
