The main aim of our proposal is investigation of thermally induced volume changes occurring in short range order of amorphous pseudo-binary Fe(Mn)-B alloys in the vicinity of the Curie temperature using in-situ neutron diffraction. Temperature resolved in-situ neutron diffraction experiments will be performed in the temperature range between 100 and 600 K. In-situ neutron diffraction measurements will be analyzed in terms of structure factor S(q) (inverse space) and pair distribution function PDF(r) (direct space). This should shed more light on structural modifications occurring on the short and medium range order. Furthermore separating magnetic contribution from the total scattering can provides us with unique information about the atomic spin correlations below and in the vicinity of the Curie point.
