Agro-residues pre-treatment for proteins and peptides content

FHNW performed the pretreatment of tomato extracts for the extraction of peptides and proteins of interest which can be further used for nutraceuticals applications as well as cosmetics. For that, alkaline conditions were applied followed by the use of enzymatic cocktails. FHNW developped magnetic immobilized enzymes with trypsin and bromelain that can be used for the extraction rather than enzyme free only.
