Analysis of microbial communities in gas hydrate-bearing subseafloor sediments from the Nankai Trough

Prokaryotic community structures based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences were analyzed in gas hydrate-bearing sediments from the Nankai Trough in order to explore the biogeography of subseafloor microorganisms related to gas hydrate.
