Adaptation of sulfidogenic communities to perchlorate stress

Sulfidogenic communities were adapted to 100 mM perchlorate, a selective inhibitor of sulfate reduction. Communities were characterized in terms of community structure (via 16s amplicon sequencing) as well as in terms of the genomic variants arising in the dominant adapting sulfate-reducers.
