This dataset comprises high-resolution multi-proxy data from Northwest Atlantic cores KNR197-10-44GGC, KNR158-4-09GGC and HU87003-7PC during the last deglaciation. The dataset provides reconstructions of surface and subsurface ocean temperature from the Northwest Atlantic (derived from planktonic foraminifera assemblage data and foraminiferal Mg/Ca-derived surface and deep water temperatures), along with the flow speed of the upper North Atlantic Deep Water (derived from sortable silt grain size data), and ice rafted debris (derived from ice rafted debris counts and coarse fraction percentage). Age determination, planktonic and benthic foraminiferal oxygen isotopes and trace metals are also included in this dataset. Collectively, the dataset reveals a co-ordinated ocean shifts at the onset of the Younger Dryas and provides empirical support for model projections of future Gulf Stream shifts.
