Starters in Six Manufacturing Companies, 1980-1981

The purpose of this study was to contact workers at the point in time when they had just reached a decision with respect to their situation in the labour market, and to try to ascertain what factors were affecting this decision. It was concerned only with workers who were completely new to the company, i.e. starters who had transferred from associated companies were excluded.
