Magnetic structure of Co2V2O7: a single crystal diffraction study

The aim of this proposal is to study the magnetic structure of Co2V2O7 through a single crystal neutron diffraction experiment. We are studying this material in comparison to the related structure CoV2O6 which displays a cascade of magnetization plateaus as a function of field. After we understand the zero field structure, we plan single crystal measurements as a function of field to search for naw magnetic structures.
