This collection contains data from eight sediment cores collected in the Trunvel and Kerallé valleys, Brittany, North-West France. These samples were acquired as part of the doctoral project Paleogeographic changes and coastal archaeological remains in Brittany during the Middle and Late Holocene: Contributions of a multidisciplinary and multi-scaled approach, with the aim of reconstructing the Holocene evolution of small estuarine systems on the North-West French coast. The cores were collected in the inner parts of two small estuarine systems, which show a continuous record over the last 8 ka cal BP.The analyses carried out on the cores are presented in seven datasets:(1) Dataset 1: Photography and X-ray radiography(2) Dataset 2: Analysis of foraminifera (3) Dataset 3: Grain-size analyses of sediment (4) Dataset 4: Loss on ignition at 550°C and 950°C(5) Dataset 5: XRF analyses(6) Dataset 6: Radiocarbon dating(7) Dataset 7: Age models and sedimentation ratesThe cores were precisely leveled using a TopCon HyperV Differential GPS, and local French ordnance datum (Nivellement Général de la France) geodetic benchmarks were used as references. Each core sample was also associated with an electrical resistivity profile, so the results are presented in a complementary dataset.

This dataset contains raw data and processed data from electrical resistivity surveys. Files are in .dat, .txt, .INV, .csv, and .bmp formats for all available data. The Metadata file describes all files.
