The album is kept in the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig (accession number A/2013/376). It has been digitised at the CSMC as part of the project ‘Creating Music Albums as Originals Made of Originals’. The small leather-bound volume measures 11 × 8,5 cm (landscape) and belonged to the violinist Karl Hermann Heinrich Benda (baptised 2 May 1748 in Potsdam, died 15 March 1836 in Berlin), son of Franz Benda.
