Microbiota disorder plays a role in the pathogenesis of several disorders associated with intestinal damage caused by antibiotics. Tributyrin , as a precursor of butyric acid, has a key role in anti-inflammatory and intestinal barrier repair effects through slowly releasing butyric acid. However, its roles in gut microbiota disorder caused by antibiotics remain unclear. In this study, we established an intestinal microbiota disorder model by ceftriaxone sodium was used in gavage to investigate the effects of different doses of tributyrin for restoring gut microbiota and intestinal injury.
