Data were collected as part of the project \"Distribution, use and conservation of the botanical heritage of the Northern Coast of Portugal: a sustainable development approach for a (future) ‘Natura 2000’ site\". The general aim of the data collection was to quantitatively analyse the distribution patterns of intertidal organisms along horizontal and vertical gradients along the northwest coast of Portugal.
