Raw data of the research article "Electrochemical reduction mechanism of 4-nitrobenzyl bromide in ionogel membranes" ( Electrochimic. Acta. 2025, 527, 1462321 DOI: 10.1016/j.electacta.2025.146232 ). This work focuses on ionic liquids as electrolyte media and IL-based solid-state electrolyte media," ionogel membranes" as reaction media to carry out the electrochemical reduction of p-NBBr. The files shows the experimental data of the work. This work explores the different compostion of Ionogel membranes and their use as reaction media to carry out electrosynthesis.

METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION

  1. Description of methods used for collection-generation of data: Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Controlled-potential electrolysis (CPE) were used for electrochemical characterization of p-NBBr in the different electrolytic media. AC impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analyses was conducted using a three-electrode system based on screen-printed commercial electrodes from Methrom DropSens. CV and AC impedence anlysis were carried out with Model 660E Potentiostat CHInstrument and impedance spectra were fitted with CHI660E software to calculate the ionic conductivity of the membranes. NMR measurements were made using a Bruker DPX400 (400 MHz) (Billerica, MA, USA).
