For generating a more comprehensive reference transcriptome resource for the razor clam, six cDNA libraries were constructed and independently sequenced with high depth using Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform. The tissue-specific genes and SSR molecular markers were identified. The genomic resources will further facilitate the genetic and genomic study in the species.
