Amplicon sequencing of sediment DNA in mesocosm with crude oil and gas condensate amendments, eastern Mediterranean Sea

We set up triplicate mesocosms with coastal sediments, and amended them with crude oil and gas condensate, to form a slick of 500 microns. We extracted DNA from the sediments, amplified the V4 region of the 16S rRNA and sequenced it on the Illumina platform.
