This dataset contains data from patients enrolled in the Utrecht Cardiovascular Cohort – Second Manifestations of Arterial Disease (UCC-SMART) study. The UCC-SMART study is an ongoing, single-center, prospective cohort at the tertiary referral center University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) in the Netherlands. Patients aged 18-80 years referred to the UMCU with established cardiovascular disease (coronary artery disease (CAD), cerebrovascular disease (CeVD), peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or abdominal arterial aneurysm (AAA) underwent vascular screening. The UCC-SMART study was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the UMCU, and all patients provided written informed consent prior to inclusion. For the current study, data of patients that were included between September 1996 and August 2010 were used, as these patients were genotyped (n=6.971).
