We compiled a hydrochemical and isotopic dataset for surface water, groundwater and thermal water from the regions of SW Saxony, the Fichtel Mountains and the Central Ore Mountains. The goal of this publication is to create a basis for the characterization of local geothermal reservoirs in the Western Bohemian Massif. Determined parameters include major dissolved anions and cations, temperature, pH, electrical conductivity and isotopes (delta 18O, delta 2H, 3H, delta 13C and 14C). The dataset is further enhanced by additional data from external sources, including unpublished scientific reports or theses, analytical reports and external measurements, which are all described in more detail in the main text.
- pH, temperature and electrical conductivity of water samples measured in the field
- major cation concentrations measured by ICP-OES
- major anion concentrations measured by IC
- Delta 18O/ Delta 2H measured by CRDS (standard: SMOW)
- Tritium measured by LSC
- Carbon isotopes (dissolved CO2) measured at the Vienna Environmental Research Accelerator (standard: VPDB)
