Full edition for scientific use. The survey ISSP-2012 "Family and Gender Roles" was conducted in connection with a research project on family farms in Austria. The ISSP questionnaire examines attitudes and behavioral orientations on the following topics: partnership and marriage, alternative family forms, desire to have children and importance of children, non-family childcare, gender-specific division of work and gender roles in the family; Caring for old people in the family; Conflicts between family life and work. In the Austria-specific supplement topics were raised that are also relevant for the sociological comparison between farming families and the total population: holidays, leisure activities and participation in social associations, social support networks, health status, family, professional and life satisfaction.
