Supporting data for Reintroduction of DJ-1 in Müller cells inhibits retinal degeneration in the DJ-1 deficient retina

DOI

This dataset provides supporting proteomics data from a study investigating the specific role of Müller cell DJ‑1 in the adult zebrafish retina. The study was conducted by re‑establishing Müller cell–specific DJ‑1 expression in a DJ‑1 knockout retina. Using a label‑free proteomics approach on isolated retinas, proteins that were differentially expressed following DJ‑1 knockout, but showed restored expression levels after Müller cell DJ‑1 re‑introduction, were identified. The supporting data presented here consist of a list of 1,868 identified proteins derived from this analysis. These data complement the main findings of the study, which demonstrate that Müller cell DJ‑1 plays a crucial role in protecting the retina from age‑dependent oxidative stress.
