Chlorophyll pigment concentrations of Elpidia heckeri gut content collected from Agassiz trawls during POLARSTERN cruise ARK-XXVII/3 (PS80, IceArc)

DOI

Chlorophyll pigments were extracted in acetone (90%), after addition of glass beads and grinding of each sample in a cell mill (Boetius and Damm 1998, doi:10.1016/S0967-0637(97)00052-6). After centrifugation, the concentration of chlorophyll a was determined in the supernatant by fluorometric measurement with a Turner fluorometer.
