Climate data from Glenam, Clonmel Station (WSI : 0-372-7-10112) located in county Tipperary, Ireland has been recently rescued and digitised. Meteorological journals obtained from Met Éireann archives were scanned to digital images using a Metis EDS professional digital scanner. The journals contained 45 years of daily meteorological observations from 1867 - 1911 (Maximum, Minimum and Dry Bulb Temperature, Pressure and Rainfall). All ~60,000 values were transcribed by 15 MSc Climate Change students based out of the Irish Climate Analysis and Research UnitS (ICARUS) at Maynooth University, Ireland. The newly digitised datasets provide a near continuous daily record of several variables, helping to extend Ireland's historical meteorological records.
