This repository includes the setup and output from model simulations performed using the 1D deterministic GLM-AED2 model on Lake Geneva to investigate long-term variations of dissolved oxygen and hypoxia regime in the lake over the period 1850–2100.
Both GLM and AED2 models are open-source and publicly available:
GLM model: https://github.com/AquaticEcoDynamics/glm-aed
AED2 model: https://aquaticecodynamics.github.io/aed-science/
The model is constrained by IPCC scenarios SSP1-RCP2.6, SSP3-RCP7.0, and SSP5-RCP8.5 (https://data.isimip.org) and validated according to 63 years of observation data collected and stored by the Lake Observatory OLA (https://si-ola.inra.fr). The model configuration files (glm.nml, aed2.nml, aed2_phyto_pars.nml) are provided. Complete data description and method information are provided in Soares et al. (under review).
Outputs represent the daily time series of dissolved oxygen concentration profiles in Lake Geneva over the historical period (1850–2020) and future projections (2021–2100) for the three scenarios.
