Microbiome structure throughout the life stages of the excavating sponge Thoosa mismalolli

Our main goal was to compare the bacterial community associated with adult sponge, brooding and planktonic larvae of T. mismalolli and to assess potential VT across gem line, and then, we aimed to elucidate whether the symbiont composition changes during different life stages, from adult, brooding larvae to free-living recently released larvae.
