Raw data of continuous VM-ADCP (vessel-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) profiles during POLARSTERN cruise PS127

DOI

Raw vessel-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (vm-ADCP) data were acquired using an RDI Ocean Surveyor ADCP installed on RV Polarstern. The vm-ADCP measures water velocity beneath the moving vessel and operates at a frequency of 150 kHz. According to the manufacturer's datasheet, it has an effective range of up to 400 meters. Data were recorded using the manufacturer's software VmDAS and were stored in beam coordinates. The raw data files include water velocity measurements, as well as ship position, heading, pitch, and roll. No corrections, processing, or quality control procedures have been applied to the raw data. Processed data are available via the link below.
