Costa Rica methane seep microbial diversity

Samples were taken at several methane seeps on the Pacific active margin of Costa Rica, and the microbial diversity of sediment, rocks, water column, and animal-associated microbes was assessed. Paired geochemistry for some samples was similarly taken. Samples were at most 0.5 km from the most active region and encompass shimmering water (most active) areas, transition and inactive background sediment.
