Motivated by the results obtained on the amorphous and polycrystalline Zr40Be60, this proposal seeks to search spectroscopic blueprints of thermal stability, vitrification and crystallisation of Zr40Be60 system going beyond the usually applied thermodynamic methods. Similarly to the results obtained from Zr40Be60 and the polycrystalline ZrBe2, we are hoping to obtain different effective temperatures (kinetic energies) experienced by the Zr and Be nuclei in Zr40Be60 up to the crystallisation temperature. Simultaneously with the MANSE experiments, Vesuvio elastic mode (with final energy analyser foil in the out position) will be employed to measure the elastic structure factor S(q) to monitor and better characterise the glassy and polycrystalline nuclear environment as a function of temperature.
