Quarterly National Household Survey (QNHS) Module on Voter Participation, Q3 2002

DOI

The Quarterly National Household Survey (QNHS) began in September 1997 and ran until Q2 2017 when it was replaced by the Labour Force Survey (LFS). While the main purpose of the QNHS was the production of quarterly labour force estimates, the QHNS also conducted special modules on different social topics each quarter. This special module was on voter participation. This special module was undertaken in quarter 3 2002 which was from June to August 2002. The module was initiated as part of the Public Opinion and Political Behaviour Research Programme at the UCD Geary Institute. The Geary Institute would like to acknowledge the contribution of the working group of academics and of government and CSO officials that assisted in the design of the study and of the questionnaire.
