The genome sequence of the sea anemone, Actinia equina

A complete genome of the sea anemone Actinia equina has been produced using long-read PacBio sequencing. Such a genome provides the resources necessary to facilitate in-depth studies of ongoing speciation on UK shorelines (facilitating genome-wide studies of genetic differentiation to identify genomic regions and genes underlying reproductive isolation) and to study developmental biology
