Identification of prey of Bryde's whales and Sei whales of the Hauraki Gulf (New Zealand)

DNA from whale scat samples were extracted using a DNA stool mini Kit. Diet was assessed by using targeted metabarcoding of the preferred prey groups of the whales, such as euphausiids, copepods, fish and salps.
