Phase Transitions and Orbital Ordering in SrRu1-xCuxO3.

This proposal seeks to establish the importance of orbital ordering on the stability of the tetragonal phase in Cu doped SrRiuO3. Orbital ordering is believed to be a consequence of the introduction of the Jahn-Teller active Cu(II) cation.
