DOI

The Hospital Future Act in Germany, funded by federal and state governments with up to 4.3 billion euros, aims to enhance digital infrastructure in hospitals to boost digitalization, improve care quality, and efficiency. The "DigitalRadar Krankenhaus" project facilitates a standardized survey to assess the digital maturity of German hospitals through an online survey covering structural, clinical, administrative, and data-related processes, as well as telemedicine and patient participation. The data collected provides aggregated information at the hospital level, including the DR score, an index measuring digital maturity, and fulfillment degrees for various digitalization dimensions and sub-dimensions, thus aiding in advancing digitalization efforts in healthcare settings.
