The data and syntaxes provided here refer to Study 1, which is part of the project “The Morality as Cooperation–Deviance Relevance Scale: A Self-Report Instrument to Capture Moral Pluralism Beyond the WEIRD World”, encompassing three studies in total. Study 2 and Study 3 are also available in the GESIS repository. The corresponding files, datasets, and syntaxes relate to Study 1, in which the new research instrument Morality as Cooperation–Deviance Relevance Scale (MaC-DRS) was empirically tested. Data for Study 1 were collected in Germany (student sample; convenience sampling). A total of n = 628 participants completed the entire questionnaire, while n = 792 participants responded to the full set of preliminary MaC-DRS items. As part of robustness analyses, four samples were created based on the data from Study 1, differing in sample size (n = 792; n = 626; n = 574; n = 287). All samples were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. We provide the complete dataset from our data collection, the trimmed samples, as well as all Stata 13 syntaxes, including basic data preparation, notes on sample trimming, and model-based analyses for each sample.
