Life Cycle Assessment of the industrial composting process of biodegradable packaging

The life-cycle assessment (LCA) methodology was used to assess and compare the environmental performance of biodegradable packaging in two end-of-life processing treatments: industrial composting and industrial incineration. It was conducted according to the guidelines ISO 14040 (2006) using OpenLCA v2 and the Ecoinvent® 3.0.1 database.
