Mg/Ca-based subsurface temperature (°C) and ice volume-corrected δ18O of seawater (δ18Osw-ivc; ‰ VSMOW) based on Neogloboquadrina pachyderma sinistral from eastern Weddell Sea sediment core PS128_2. The foraminiferal specimens were selected from gravity core PS128_2-3, which was recovered from Bungenstock Plateau (eastern Weddell Sea off Dronning Maud Land 69.4107°S, 5.5890°W ) from 1868 m water depth during R/V POLASTERN Cruise PS128 in 2022 (Tiedemann and Müller, 2022). Sampling and analytical studies were carried out from ~88 to 430 cm core depth at ~2 cm spatial resolution. The records cover the last ~74.5 kyrs. The geochemical analyses were performed on a VARIAN 720–ES Axial ICP-OES, a simultaneous, axial-viewing inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer coupled to a VARIAN SP3 sample preparation system at GEOMAR. Mg/Ca ratios (mmol/mol) were converted into subsurface temperature (SubST; °C) . Contaminant phases are added: Sr/Ca, Ba/Ca, Al/Ca, Fe/Ca, Mn/Ca in mmol/mol).
